Fresh, sweet notes of black cherry, blackberry, cocoa, tobacco, tamarind, and a light, sweet spiciness

PALATE
Soft and enveloping, with silky tannins, great intensity, and a long finish that ties the taste to the ripe fruit of the grapes. This is complemented by spicy notes resulting from extended aging on its own lees through bâtonnage, which blend together to impart subtle woody notes, almost like a pleasant hint of wood
