ABOUT US
ÔMINA ROMANA was founded in 2007 by the Börner family in the Velletri area, amidst the volcanic and verdant hills of the Castelli Romani overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, about 40 km south of the city of Rome. Everything originated from a precise vision that inspired every design decision: to create a new wine reality that expresses in its products the values of the highest quality, as a result of knowledge and science, passion and rigor, hence our philosophy Mens et Manus.
Work and passion make our wines exceptional.
The interaction between climate and soil, as well as the knowledge and experience of the people working in the vineyard, are the basis of our wine production. We planted each of our vines after a careful evaluation of the environmental characteristics where Ômina Romana stands; we cared for them for years and cultivated them in harmony with nature to produce, attentive to the best balance point, few bunches per plant. After the harvest, to obtain wines with an unmistakable character, we process the grapes without forcing the processes, allowing each of our wines time and rest to mature: an effort to achieve a final result that expresses the high quality standard and pure passion poured into the vineyard and cellar. In essence, it is the enhancement of an ancient terroir with an incomparable millennial history.
