PARTY IN THE VINEYARD WITH CHEF HEINZ BECK

by Maria Carla Magni

La Festa in Vigna of mid-September, was an extraordinary success, totally sold out event of expected participants.

The initiative was desired and conceived by Katharina Boerner to welcome more than 200 of our wine-lovers, mainly coming from Rome and surroundings, in the splendid setting of Ômina Romana.

Thanks to the mild early fall weather, the event began in a sunny late afternoon with a walk through the rows of vines.

The staff guided the guests on the tour explaining the characteristics of the area and of the terroir that define  Ômina Romana's wines identity.

Along with the Boerner family, the guests also met Paula Pacheco, the winery's agronomist and Technical Director, and her team, as well as oenolgist, Simone Sarnà with his technical staff.

Among the many initiatives for guests, the highlight was the presence of 3-Michelin-starred Chef Heinz Beck  who once again chose to come to Ômina Romana with his brigade of the "La Pergola" Restaurant in Rome, and shared his culinary art pairing a selection of our wines with a 5-course tasting created exclusively for the event.

It was a fun cheerful evening with live music and dance with Velester Music band from Velletri and the performance of the Circo Svago from Albano.

At the end of the event, 3 awards were assigned by drawing among the participants and were handed out by Katharina Boerner.
Up for grabs were the great Ômina Romana's "must have" wines including:
