WINERY FESTIVAL AT ÔMINA ROMANA, WITH HEINZ BECK
June 28, 5:30 PM - 11:30 PM
On Saturday, June 28, 2025, Ômina Romana will once again open the doors of its winery to welcome wine and gourmet food enthusiasts for the new edition of the Winery Festival, an event conceived by the Börner family with the extraordinary participation of the three-Michelin-starred chef Heinz Beck from La Pergola restaurant in Rome.
It will be an evening dedicated to taste and conviviality, nestled among the rows of the Alban Hills, within the Velletri estate. An event that brings together taste artisans, authentic local flavors, Michelin-starred cuisine, and fine wines by Ômina Romana, all accompanied by pleasant entertainment.

"We can't wait to celebrate this festival again, which for us represents a special moment of sharing and passion for our work," says Katharina Börner, who leads the company and is the second generation at the helm of Ômina Romana, founded by her father Anton F. Börner in 2007 within the Alban Hills area, with the aim of restoring splendor to wines and places rich in charm that have their roots in Ancient Rome. "We want to offer our guests a journey into the heart of our winery, among flavors, aromas, and stories that speak of our deep connection with this territory."
Starting at 5:30 PM, after being welcomed among the vineyards, the public can access a route that winds through various "gastronomic islands," featuring proposals created for the occasion by Heinz Beck and his team: signature appetizers, refined first courses, and exclusive desserts, designed to pair with Ômina Romana wines.
Alongside the chef from La Pergola, many artisans will also be present this year with their specialties, starting with three protagonists of the Velletri gastronomic scene: the breads from Sfarinando bakery, the pizzas from O'Zoo, and the Fassona beef carpaccio from Up bistrot. Along with them, the famous porchetta from L'Antica Norcineria Castelli di Nemi, and finally, directly from the Capital, the refined sushi from Marè Sushi&Wine and the ice creams from the artisanal laboratory Biolèe.
Naturally, a selection of the best wines from the winery will be available for tasting: from the white Hermes Diactoros II, to the rosé Ômina Romana Merlot, to the red Diana Nemorensis I, not forgetting the labels from the prestigious Ars Magna line, the highest expression of the estate's terroir.
The 2025 edition of the Festa in Cantina is also enriched by the presence of the artist Vincenzo Pennacchi, who lives and works in Velletri, where over the years his studio has become a point of reference for art historians and intellectuals. Vincenzo will exhibit some of his works on the estate for the occasion, as part of a research path in expanded painting, theorized by critic Gianluca Marziani, through large canvases and environmental installations in dialogue with the surrounding space. Among his most recent projects are exhibitions at La Nuvola by Fuksas in the Eur district and the Archaeological Museum of SS. Stimmate in Velletri, curated by Gabriele Perretta. In some of the works exhibited at the Festa in Cantina, Pennacchi explores the perception of space through unique mirrored telescopes, inspired by quantum physics, thus offering guests a unique immersive experience.
The festive atmosphere will continue until midnight, with glasses, flavors, art and live music, for an evening of lightness and joy with Ômina Romana and its guests.
